My favorite home

What is my favorite? Maybe my favorite is my home. I live with my father, mother, younger sister and younger brother. I have a great gather, who is not bad habits, for example, he doesn’t smoke, drink, etc. Sometimes he is fashion and open and sometimes he get tough with us. But I know that it is very excellent to teach children! I am in awe of my father. My mother is so nice. She has quit the job and done the housework at home since my brother was born. Sometimes she is strict when my sister and my brother were mad at her, but my mother hasn’t very seriously blamed me. I am so happy. Perhaps it is that I was more obedient or I was brought up by my grandmother in my childhood. I also have a good sister, who always chats with me. My brother is younger than me 12 years old. Though he is very elfish, he is our home’s clown. I love my home, my family. They are so cute. I have a so sweet and joyous home.

The surprise gifts

I am glad I can join the active course. I recognize that it was nothing to fear to learn English from the campaign. We received your package on this week. It is surprising to me. The gifts impressed me very much. I like some things inside. For example, a peaked cap, a rattlesnake toy, the denim, the special flowers, one memorial coin, etc. The snake toy was so cute that it was passed round by perusal in my class. The flowers were very beautiful as a string of firecrackers. A piece of denim reminded me of a song, “A cowboy is very busy”, which is Taiwan’s song, it was composed by Jay, who is Taiwan’s singer. And then, the coin is was so unique that we discussed enthusiastically about it. Thank you gave us the great presents. The culture exchange is very good .If we could learn each other language,it will be more exciting! Somehow, I am very excited about it now.

The thing that is typical of Taiwanese culture

I think the thing can typify the Taiwanese culture that is glove puppet shows, or we can it “Budaihsi”. In fact, it originally came from China, combing with the culture and folk arts of Taiwan. It gradually evolved and became the new style nowadays. It even garnered “Show Taiwan to the world” online voting campaign. (This is from the twenty-four images selected to represent Taiwan.)

In order to let it be more popular, they add modern element and high technology. For example, they use fantastic lighting, special sound effects, and animations and so forth. In addition, they mix of “20 percent tradition and 80 percent modernity”, such as their music mixes of Eastern and Western as erhu, pipa with jazz drum, etc. Because of so many improvements, they successfully published the movie, “Legend of the sacred stone”, and even spread America.(http://movie.pili.com.tw/en/index.htm)
(it ever showed on TV)
They also make a lot of additional products as novels, video dames, T-shirts, key rings, and dolls, etc. Budaixi attracts audiences of all different generations. I think that it will keep popular forever. I would like to say “Taiwanese were proud of the glove puppet.”
I hope you will like it.
